The Meindl Hawaii is a beautiful men’s sandal, which resembles a low walking shoe. However, it is a sporty sandal with a sturdy upper and a rubber toecap. As a result, your foot is well protected against sharp branches and stones. The sturdy sole has a nice profile that takes you to places where normal sandals can’t go. The sandal has a beautiful quick-release buckle, making it easy to get in and out of the shoe.

The Meindl Hawaii has a removable footbed. This makes the sandal perfect to use with your own arch supports. The shoe has a Vibram outsole, which ensures optimal walking comfort. You can walk all day in these sandals without getting sore feet. The sandal is ideal when you go on a lovely city walk in the summer!

materials

Nubuck leather

The outer material of the Hawaii sandal is partly made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of the animal skin. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also very well be left untreated. Waxing nubuck leather does make it darker, smoother and shinier. When you spray nubuck leather with a spray that contains wax, you treat this material in the best way.

suede

The outer material of the Hawaii sandal is partly made of suede. Suede comes from the base of the animal skin. It has a velvety appearance and soft to the touch. Suede can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated.

insole

The Hawaii men’s sandal has a removable insole from Meindl. This insole contributes to extra walking comfort and is also available separately. We also sell custom insoles that provide extra support.

Outsole

Like many normal hiking boots, this men’s sandal has a VIBRAM ® outsole. Vibram soles are known for their high quality and durability and are therefore often used in hiking boots. The Vibram soles ensure a good transition of the foot. The profile of the sole has been developed in such a way that it provides good grip on different surfaces. In addition, the profile of the sole is self-cleaning. This means that the sole does not retain sludge and soil. Because Vibram soles are wear-resistant, they last longer than other soles. The special profile on the toe and heel side provides more grip during ascent and descent. Thanks to the reinforcement in the midsole, this Vibram sole provides good support for the feet.
