Nubuck leather

The outer material of the Meindl Meran GTX is made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of animal skin. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated. Waxing nubuck leather will make it darker, smoother and shinier. When you spray nubuck leather with a spray containing wax, you treat this material in the best way.

GORE- TEX®

The Meindl Meran GTX contains a GORE- TEX® membrane. The GORE-TEX® membrane ensures that these hiking boots are waterproof and windproof, but remain breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking, but your shoes also remain comfortable due to the high breathability.
