How to measure your shoe size yourself

You can easily measure your feet yourself using the steps below. Measure barefoot or with thin socks on. To determine the correct size, always measure both feet.

Step on a blank piece of paper.
2. Make a contour of your foot.
3. Draw a straight line along your heel and your longest toe.
4. Now measure the distance between the two lines.
5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 for your other foot.
6. Find the longest measured foot length in the size chart below. This is the size you will need for your shoes.

Description

The Meindl Houston GTX is suitable for walks in nature and in the city, but can also be used very well for daily activities. This walking shoe falls under category A walking shoes, which means that it is a light, flexible shoe. The shoes are very comfortable to wear and are therefore ideal to wear while travelling.

The outer material of the shoe is made of suede and mesh. The shoe has a Gore-Tex membrane, which ensures that the shoe is waterproof. The Meindl Multigrip outsole provides good grip on different surfaces.

Material

The outer material of the Houston GTX is made of suede. Suede comes from the base of the animal skin. It has a velvety appearance and soft to the touch. Suede can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated.

mesh

The outer material of the Houston GTX is made of mesh. Mesh is a synthetic material that is made in different shapes. Due to the use of mesh, the shoe is light, flexible and the breathability is high.

GORE-TEX ®

The Houston contains a GORE-TEX ® membrane. The GORE-TEX ® membrane ensures that these hiking boots are waterproof, yet breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.

insole

The Houston GTX has a removable insole from Meindl. This insole contributes to extra walking comfort and is also available separately. We also sell custom insoles that provide extra support.
