How to measure your shoe size yourself

You can easily measure your feet yourself using the steps below. Measure barefoot or with thin socks on. To determine the correct size, always measure both feet.

Step on a blank piece of paper.
2. Make a contour of your foot.
3. Draw a straight line along your heel and your longest toe.
4. Now measure the distance between the two lines.
5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 for your other foot.
6. Find the longest measured foot length in the size chart below. This is the size you will need for your shoes.

Description

The Meindl Eppan Lady GTX is a women’s hiking shoe with a wider forefoot, which is ideal for long walks. From walks in the woods to light hikes in the mountains, this hiking shoe is a real all-rounder. This walking shoe falls under the category A/B walking shoes. These shoes are slightly more flexible than category B hiking boots and somewhat firmer than category A hiking boots. The Eppan Lady GTX . is especially suitable if you walk longer, but do not want to wear too heavy shoes an ideal option.

The upper material of the shoe is made of nubuck leather and suede. The shoe has a Gore-Tex lining, which ensures that the shoe is waterproof. The Meindl Duo-Dur III Gummiprofilsohle is an outsole that provides good grip on different surfaces.

Material

Nubuck leather

The outer material of the Eppan Lady is made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of the animal skin. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also very well be left untreated. Waxing nubuck leather does make it darker, smoother and shinier. When you spray nubuck leather with a spray that contains wax, you treat this material in the best way.

suede

The outer material of the Eppan Lady GTX is made of suede. Suede comes from the base of the animal skin. It has a velvety appearance and soft to the touch. Suede can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated.

wide last

The Eppan Lady GTX has a wide last. The wide last is suitable for people for whom the standard fit is too narrow in the front. The wide last has a normal width on the heel side, but is slightly wider on the forefoot side. This prevents annoying pressure points from developing in walkers with wider feet.

insole

The Eppan Lady GTX has a removable insole from Meindl. This insole contributes to extra walking comfort and is also available separately. We also sell custom insoles that provide extra support.
