Material:

The outer material of the Meindl Chiasso Identity women’s hiking shoe is made of full-grain leather. Full-grain leather comes from the top layer of animal skin. Due to its thickness, it is a very strong and durable type of leather.

The Meindl Chiasso Identity women’s hiking shoe contains a GORE-TEX® membrane. The GORE-TEX® membrane ensures that these hiking boots are waterproof, but remain breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.

The Meindl Chiasso Identity men’s hiking shoe has a wide last. The wide last is suitable for people for whom the standard fit in the front is too narrow. The wide last has a normal width on the heel side, but is slightly wider on the forefoot side. This prevents annoying pressure points from developing for walkers with wider feet.

Insole:

The Meindl Chiasso Identity women’s hiking shoe has a removable insole from Meindl. This insole contributes to extra walking comfort and is also available separately. We also sell custom insoles that provide additional support.

Outsole:

Like many other hiking boots, the Meindl Chiasso Identity women’s hiking boot has a VIBRAM® outsole. Vibram soles are known for their high quality and durability and are therefore often used in hiking boots. These soles ensure a good settlement of the foot. The profile of the sole has been developed in such a way that it provides good grip on different surfaces. In addition, the profile of the sole is self-cleaning. This means that the sole does not retain mud and soil. Because Vibram soles are durable, they last longer than other soles.
