The Zamberlan Salathe GTX RR is a waterproof hiking shoe that combines the grip and maneuverability of an approach shoe with the protection and support of a category A hiking shoe and the comfort of a trail runner. The lacing system down to the toe provides a technical fit that can be adapted to both climbing and hiking situations. The shoe is ideal for long walks. From walks in the woods to gentle hikes in the mountains, the Salathe is a true all-rounder. The Salathe is an ideal option, especially if you walk longer, but do not want to wear too heavy shoes.
The outer material of the shoe is made of suede leather and has a Gore-Tex lining that ensures that the shoe is waterproof. The Vibram outsole provides good grip on different surfaces. In addition, the shoe is equipped with Rubber Reinforcement technology, which offers protection against, for example, stones.

The outer material of the Salathe GTX RR is made of suede. Suede comes from the base of the animal skin. It has a velvety appearance and soft to the touch. Suede can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated.
GORE-TEX ®
The Salathe GTX RR contains a GORE-TEX ® membrane. The GORE-TEX ® membrane ensures that these hiking boots are waterproof, yet breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.

The Salathe GTX RR has a removable insole from Zamberlan . This insole contributes to extra walking comfort. We also sell custom insoles that provide extra support.
Outsole
Like many hiking boots, the Salathe GTX RR a VIBRAM ® outsole. Vibram soles are known for their high quality and durability and are therefore often used in hiking boots. These soles ensure a good transition of the foot. The profile of the sole has been developed in such a way that it provides good grip on different surfaces. In addition, the profile of the sole is self-cleaning. This means that the sole does not retain sludge and soil. Because Vibram soles are wear-resistant, they last longer than other soles.
If the sole of your hiking boots is worn, they need to be replaced. Worn soles are a risk when walking. Because the profile of the sole disappears, the grip decreases and you slip faster.
