Description
The Woolpower Balaclava Protection LITE is ideal when engaging in sporting activities during cold days. Whether that’s skiing or a brisk hike, the balaclava provides optimal protection in cold weather. It is made of a blend of merino wool and synthetic fibers, making it antibacterial and quick-drying. The flat seams prevent chafing, making it good to wear under a helmet. Because the balaclava has one opening, it can be modeled to completely cover the head except for the eyes. The bottom of the opening can be worn either over the nose or over the chin, depending on weather conditions and your personal preference.
The Balaclava LITE is part of the Protection production line, which ensures that the balaclava is flame-resistant and antistatic. In addition, no chemicals were used in the production process. So it is also sustainably produced.
Merino wool has the advantage that unpleasant odors do not linger. So it is not necessary to wash the clothes, even for a first use. Woolpower even recommends simply airing the clothing. If you still want to wash the clothes, you can do so with special wool detergent. You can then wash the clothes even at 60℃. This is because the wool is first treated in the “superwash,” creating a pre-shrinkage.

Materials
Merino wool
Merino wool comes from merino sheep and is widely known for its high quality. Merino sheep have much more hair than other sheep. About ten times as many hairs grow per square meter as an average sheep. As a result, the wool is thinner and longer, feels very soft and does not itch. Merino sheep live in areas with wide temperature variations from -20 ºC to over 35 ºC. Their fur acts as a heat regulator. As a result, merino wool keeps you warm in the cold but breathes well. In addition, merino wool has excellent moisture management and self-cleaning properties, so you won’t easily suffer from perspiration marks and odors on your clothing.
