Description

The Long Johns W’s LITE are long-legged base layer trousers for women. The trousers are designed to provide sufficient thermal protection and are highly breathable. The Long Johns are made with a minimal number of seams, so they won’t chafe. They feature a soft elastic waistband. The trousers are made from close-fitting, soft, supple and elastic material that also doesn’t absorb unpleasant body odours. Ideal for exercising on colder days.

Size advice

Woolpower clothing is mostly unisex and has a generous fit for both women and men. It may also stretch slightly when worn. Woolpower clothing provides the best insulation when worn close to the skin. We therefore recommend that women choose one size smaller than usual. For the correct size, please refer to the size charts at the top of this page.

Material

Merino wool

Merino wool comes from merino sheep and is widely known for its high quality. Merino sheep have much more hair than other sheep. Per square metre, they grow about ten times as much hair as an average sheep. This makes the wool thinner and longer, very soft to the touch and non-itchy. Merino sheep live in areas with large temperature fluctuations from -20 ºC to over 35 ºC. Their coat regulates heat. This means that merino wool keeps you warm in the cold, but breathes well. In addition, merino wool has excellent moisture-regulating and self-cleaning properties, so you are less likely to suffer from perspiration marks and odours on your clothing.

Polyamid

Polyamide, also known as nylon, is a synthetic material made from petroleum. Polyamide is a strong fabric that does not tear or crease easily. It is light, elastic, easy to fold and dries quickly. A disadvantage of polyamide is that it does not absorb moisture well.
