Pinewood Tiveden InsectSafe men’s trousers

The Pinewood Tiveden InsectSafe men’s trousers are practical walking trousers, suitable for walks in the city, but designed for environments with many insects (such as the forest). The pants consist of a combination of materials that make the pants quick-drying and offer plenty of room to move. The Tividen InsectSafe has been treated with Pinewood’s own NatureSafe, an environmentally friendly technology that actively repels insects. There are several pockets spread over the pants, including pockets that can be closed with a zipper.

The Pinewood® NatureSafe technology protects clothing against mosquitoes and ticks in an innovative way. It creates a long-lasting and effective layer in and around the textile fibers that keeps insects away. This environmentally friendly technology is impregnated into our highly functional outdoor clothing. The active insect repellent IR3535® has been used in sprays and lotions for more than 30 years and can now be impregnated into textiles, with a sustainable result!

Materials

Polyester

Polyester is a synthetic material made from petroleum. It is a durable, smooth fabric that feels soft. In addition, it is lightweight, does not need to be ironed and dries quickly. A disadvantage of polyester is that it does not absorb moisture well and is not very warm.

Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that comes from the cotton plant. The cotton fibers are spun into a yarn that is often used in clothing because of its durability, comfort and strength. In addition, cotton has good breathability and can easily absorb moisture. Cotton can discolour due to light and the stretchability of the fabric is limited.

Elastane

Elastane is a synthetic fiber that is exceptionally elastic. Its great stretch, but at the same time its strength, distinguishes it from other synthetic fabrics. For example, it is stronger and more durable than rubber, but also much lighter. Elastane is very lightweight and is therefore very suitable when doing activities. Elastane also offers a lot of room to move because it is so elastic, without losing the fit.
