Nubuck leather
The outer material of the Meindl San Remo is made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of the animal hide. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated. If you wax nubuck leather, it will become darker, smoother and shinier. When you spray nubuck leather with a spray containing wax, you treat this material in the best way.
GORE -TEX®
The Meindl San Remo contains a GORE-TEX ® membrane. The GORE-TEX ® membrane ensures that these hiking boots are waterproof, but remain breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.
Fit:

The Meindl San Remo has a wide last. The wide last is suitable for people for whom the standard fit in the front is too narrow. The wide last has a normal width on the heel side, but is slightly wider on the forefoot side. This prevents annoying pressure points from developing for walkers with wider feet.
Insole:
The Meindl San Remo has a removable insole from Meindl. This insole contributes to extra walking comfort and is also available separately. We also sell custom insoles that provide extra support.
Outsole:
