The Ultimate VII SO is a technical softshell, which means that the vest is equipped with various features that make it suitable for year-round hiking. To start with, the vest contains 3-layer GORE-TEX Infinium, which makes the vest both windproof and breathable. A water-repellent coating makes it possible to continue walking even when it rains. Other useful features are the 2-way zipper on the front, the adjustable hem and underarm ventilation through a zipper.
