Materials
Nubuck leather
The outer material of the Trekker LL is made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of animal skin. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated. Waxing nubuck leather will make it darker, smoother and shinier. When you spray nubuck leather with a spray containing wax, you treat this material in the best way.
Leather lining
The Lowa Trekker LL has a leather lining. The advantage of a leather lining is that it can quickly absorb a lot of moisture. In addition, a leather lining contributes to a pleasant fit. The leather molds to your feet and therefore ensures that the shoes completely adapt to your feet.
Insole
The Trekker LL has a removable Lowa insole. This insole contributes to extra walking comfort and is also available separately in our store and on our website . We also sell custom insoles that provide extra support.
Outsole
VIBRAM® sole
Like many other hiking boots, the Trekker LL a VIBRAM® outsole . Vibram soles are known for their high quality and durability and are therefore often used in hiking boots. These soles ensure good movement of the foot. The profile of the sole has been developed in such a way that it provides good grip on different surfaces. In addition, the profile of the sole is self-cleaning. This means that the sole does not retain mud and soil. Because Vibram soles are wear-resistant, they last longer than other soles.
Resoled
If the sole of your walking shoes is worn out, they need to be replaced. Worn soles pose a risk while walking. Because the profile of the sole disappears, the grip decreases and you are more likely to slip.
