Usability
It is important that the light stays on your head, nothing more difficult if the light switches off as soon as you move your head. If there are several positions on it, the light must be adjustable with 1 hand. The button with which you turn the light on and off must be in an easily accessible place when you have the light on your head and large enough to be able to easily operate it with one hand. Finally, make sure that the light is not too big or too heavy.
Battery life
Always prefer a light with a longer battery life.
Water tightness
The water resistance is shown with an IPX scale. The higher the number, the more waterproof.
Brightness and appearances
The light intensity is displayed in Lumen. The higher this number, the brighter the lamp. You can also set a good head torch to different positions.
Red LED light
Some headlamps have red LED light. The use of red LED light ensures that your night vision is not affected.
