The Hanwag Gritstone II Wide lady GTX is ideal for long walks. From walks in the woods to light hikes in the mountains, this hiking shoe is a real all-rounder. This walking shoe falls under the category A/B walking shoes. These shoes are slightly more flexible than category B hiking boots and somewhat firmer than category A hiking boots. The Gritstone II is an ideal option, especially if you walk longer, but do not want to wear too heavy shoes.

The inner material of this Gritstone consists of nubuck leather and synthetic material. The lining is made of GORE-TEX, which ensures that the shoe is 100% waterproof. The insole of the Gritstone is removable and the Vibram Ultragrip II outsole guarantees optimal grip on most terrains.

Nubuck leather

The outer material of this hiking shoe is made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of the animal skin. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also very well be left untreated. Waxing nubuck leather does make it darker, smoother and shinier. When you inject nubuck leather with a spray that contains wax, you treat this material in the best way.

GORE-TEX®

This Gritstone contains a GORE-TEX® membrane. The GORE-TEX® membrane ensures that THESE HIKING SHOES are waterproof, yet breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.

Fit

The Gritstone II Wide Lady GTX has a wide last. The wide last is suitable for people for whom the standard fit is too narrow in the front. The wide last has a normal width on the heel side, but is slightly wider on the forefoot side. This prevents annoying pressure points from developing in walkers with wider feet.

Vibram Ultragrip II
