The Hanwag Gritstone II Wide GTX is ideal for long walks. From walks in the woods to light hikes in the mountains, this hiking shoe is a real all-rounder. This walking shoe falls under the category A/B walking shoes. These shoes are slightly more flexible than category B hiking boots and somewhat firmer than category A hiking boots. Especially when you walk longer, but do not want to wear heavy shoes, the Gritstone II an ideal option.

Nubuck leather

The outer material of this hiking shoe is made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of the animal skin. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also very well be left untreated. Waxing nubuck leather does make it darker, smoother and shinier. When you spray nubuck leather with a spray that contains wax, you treat this material in the best way.

GORE-TEX ®

This Gritstone contains a GORE-TEX ® membrane. The GORE-TEX ® membrane ensures that THESE HIKING SHOES are waterproof, yet breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.

The Gritstone II Wide GTX has a wide last. The wide last is suitable for people for whom the standard fit is too narrow in the front.
