If you are looking for a versatile winter jacket that provides excellent protection against the cold, the FjällRäven Övik 3 in 1 Jacket is ideal for you. The outer jacket of the Övik 3 in 1 Jacket is made of wind- and water-resistant G-1000 Eco (recycled polyester and organic cotton). It is suitable for everyday use and outdoor activities in your spare time. The jacket runs to the hips and has a fixed but adjustable hood. In addition, there is a two-way zipper at the front with a flap with press studs over it. This keeps wind well. The inner jacket has two double opening hand pockets (one from above via the flap and one vertically via a zipper). There is a mesh lining on the inside.
The Övik 3 in 1 Jacket inner jacket is made of supple, recycled polyamide, filled with synthetic insulation. This is the G-Loft Supreme insulation, which feels like down. Furthermore, the inner jacket has a ribbed knitted collar and two open side pockets.
G-1000 material
G-1000 is a fabric developed by FjällRäven itself. It’s a classic that allows you to brave different activities and climates all year round, from the tropics to the polar regions. The fabric consists of 65% polyester and 35% cotton that are woven closely together. This fabric was then treated with Greenland Wax. This combination makes G-1000 a popular outdoor fabric and has a number of practical properties:
- Durable: G-1000 fabric from FjällRäven is very durable and therefore long-lasting. In addition, it is lightweight.
- Water repellent: Thanks to the Greenland Wax, clothing with G-1000 can withstand short rain showers or moisture. In addition, it is quick-drying.
- Windproof: FjällRäven clothing with G-1000 is almost completely windproof. If you impregnate it with Greenland Wax, you are completely protected against wind.
- Breathability: An important property of G-1000 is high breathability. This means that your body stays nice and dry, even during strenuous activities.
- UV protection: Thanks to G-1000 you are almost completely protected from the sun’s rays, reducing the risk of burns.
- Mosquito-Proof: The tightly woven fabrics keep mosquitoes and other flying insects away. Ideal if you are in the mountains, the forest or in a warm climate. Note: G-1000 Lite is not mosquito proof.

G-Loft Supreme
G-Loft Supreme from FjällRäven is a synthetic filling with an extremely high insulating capacity. It also keeps you warm even in humid conditions. The filling consists of hollow and very thin polyester fibers (of which 10% recycled polyester). Like down, it has a natural ability to create small air pockets that provide insulation.
In addition, the structure of the fibers ensures that they automatically return to their original airy spiral shape. This resiliency remains intact even after repeated washes and prolonged use. This resilient property is thanks to the mix of recycled polyester. These are slightly stiffer than natural fibers.
Furthermore, G-Loft Supreme is quick-drying, ventilating, compressible and easy to wash. You’ll find it in garments that need to be both highly insulating and exceptionally water resistant, such as hiking or canoeing, and that need to be light and easy to pack.
