The Nikka Shorts have a low waist at the front and a high waist at the back. In this way, the pants are still comfortable when you wear a backpack or are active. The side pockets of the women’s pants are placed in such a way that you can still easily reach them if you wear a hip belt. In short, everything has been thought of. G-1000 material
G-1000 is a fabric developed by FjällRäven itself. It’s a classic that allows you to brave different activities and climates all year round, from the tropics to the polar regions. The fabric consists of 65% polyester and 35% cotton that are woven closely together. This fabric was then treated with Greenland Wax . This combination makes G-1000 a popular outdoor fabric and has a number of practical properties:
- Durable: G-1000 fabric from FjällRäven is very durable and therefore long-lasting. In addition, it is lightweight.
- Water-repellent: Thanks to the Greenland Wax, clothing with G-1000 can withstand short rain showers or moisture. In addition, it is quick-drying.
- Windproof: FjällRäven clothing with G-1000 is almost completely windproof. If you impregnate it with Greenland Wax, you are completely protected against wind.
- Breathability: An important property of G-1000 is high breathability. This means that your body stays nice and dry, even during strenuous activities.
- UV protection: Thanks to G-1000 you are almost completely protected from the sun’s rays, reducing the risk of burns.
- Mosquito-Proof: The tightly woven fabrics keep mosquitoes and other flying insects away. Ideal if you are in the mountains, the forest or in a warm climate. Note: G-1000 Lite is not mosquito proof.
