Description

The classic Greenland Jacket from Fjällräven has been improved in its fit and durable materials. The men’s jacket is made of G-1000 Eco material, which makes the Greenland water and wind resistant. By using the Greenland Wax, the water-repellent properties can be increased. This also allows the jacket to last even longer.

The Greenland jacket is lightweight and has a two-way zipper with a protective flap that is fitted with buttons. Furthermore, the elbows and shoulders are extra protected by the double layer of fabric.

G-1000 material

G-1000 is a fabric developed by FjällRäven itself. It’s a classic that allows you to brave different activities and climates all year round, from the tropics to the polar regions. The fabric consists of 65% polyester and 35% cotton that are woven closely together. This fabric was then treated with Greenland Wax. This combination makes G-1000 a popular outdoor fabric and has a number of practical properties:

• Durable: G-1000 fabric from FjällRäven is very durable and therefore long-lasting. In addition, it is lightweight.

• Water repellent: Thanks to the Greenland Wax, clothing with G-1000 can withstand short rain showers or moisture. In addition, it is quick-drying.

• Windproof: FjällRäven clothing with G-1000 is almost completely windproof. If you impregnate it with Greenland Wax, you are completely protected against wind.

• Breathability: An important property of G-1000 is high breathability. This means that your body stays nice and dry, even during strenuous activities.

• UV protection: Thanks to G-1000 you are almost completely protected from the sun’s rays, reducing the risk of burns.

• Mosquito-Proof: The tightly woven fabrics keep mosquitoes and other flying insects away. Ideal if you are in the mountains, the forest or in a warm climate. Note: G-1000 Lite is not mosquito proof.
