Materials

G-1000 Original

G-1000 is a unique fabric specially developed by FjallRaven. The fabric is made from a combination of 65% polyester and 35% cotton and is impregnated with Greenland Wax. This combination ensures that G-1000 is exceptionally durable, highly breathable, wind- and water-repellent. In addition, G-1000 is mosquito-proof and offers almost 100% protection against UV. It is important to properly maintain the G-1000 material with Greenland Wax .

Polyester

Polyester is a synthetic material made from petroleum. It is a durable, smooth fabric that feels soft. In addition, it is lightweight, does not need to be ironed and dries quickly. A disadvantage of polyester is that it does not absorb moisture well and is not very warm.

Cotton
