Materials

G-1000 Air

G-1000 Air is a unique fabric specially developed by FjallRaven. The fabric is made from a combination of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This combination ensures the material is exceptionally durable, breathable and lightweight. In addition, G-1000 offers almost 100% protection against UV. The difference between G-1000 Air and G-1000 Original is that it is not mosquito-proof and wind- and water-repellent. It is important to properly maintain the G-1000 Air material with Greenland Wax . Waxing the trousers makes the fabric more wind and water resistant. However, waxing makes the fabric heavier and less breathable.

Polyester

Polyester is a synthetic material made from petroleum. It is a durable, smooth fabric that feels soft. In addition, it is lightweight, does not need to be ironed and dries quickly. A disadvantage of polyester is that it does not absorb moisture well and is not very warm.

Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that comes from the cotton plant. The cotton fibers are spun into a yarn that is often used in clothing because of its durability, comfort and strength.
