G-1000

G-1000 Air is a unique fabric specially developed by Fjällräven. The fabric is made from a combination of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. This combination makes G-1000 exceptionally durable and highly breathable. In addition, G-1000 offers almost 100% protection against UV. G-1000 Air can be treated with Greenland Wax. Waxing the pants makes the fabric more wind and water resistant. Waxing only makes the fabric heavier and less breathable.

Polyester

Polyester is a synthetic material made from petroleum. It is a durable, smooth fabric that feels soft. In addition, it is lightweight, does not need to be ironed and dries quickly. A disadvantage of polyester is that it does not absorb moisture well and is not very warm.
