The outer material of the Meindl Kufstein II GTX men’s hiking shoe is made of waxed nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of the animal hide. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. By waxing the nubuck leather, it stays beautiful and water-repellent for longer.
