The Hanwag Tatra II Lady GTX is ideal for demanding trekking and mountain hikes. The walking shoe falls under the category B/C walking shoes. These shoes have a higher shaft and a stiffer sole than category B walking shoes. Hiking boots in category B/C are therefore ideal if you make more demanding mountain tours during your holiday, explore rugged landscapes or take long walks with a heavy backpack.
The upper material of the mountain shoe is made of nubuck leather and the shoe has a GORE-TEX lining. This GTX membrane ensures the shoe’s 100% waterproofness. The Tatra II GTX has a new, very comfortable removable insole and a Vibram AW Integral outsole. The smooth and lower cuff of the shoe is specially designed for the female calf. The cuff is made of supple leather with ventilation holes. Equipped with a protective rubber nose and heel cap.

materials
Nubuck leather
The outer material of THIS HIKING SHOE is made of nubuck leather. Nubuck leather comes from the lightly sanded top layer of the animal skin. Sanding makes the leather feel softer, increases breathability and gives the leather a velvety appearance. Nubuck leather can be waxed, but it can also very well be left untreated. Waxing nubuck leather does make it darker, smoother and shinier. When you inject nubuck leather with a spray that contains wax, you treat this material in the best way.
GORE-TEX®
The Tatra II Lady GTX contains a GORE-TEX® membrane. The GORE-TEX® membrane ensures that THESE HIKING SHOES are waterproof, yet breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.
insole
This hiking shoe has a standard insole from Hanwag. This is a quick-drying, removable insole that contributes to extra comfort while walking. The standard Hanwag insole is also available separately in our store and on our website . We also sell custom insoles that provide extra support.
Outsole
Hanwag Vibram AW Integral
This Vibram outsole is very sturdy due to stiffening in the midsole. The sole is supportive and has a stretching profile with angled studs for support on both ascent and descent.
