Materials
suede
The outer material of the Alverstone II Lady GTX is made of suede. Suede comes from the base of the animal hide. It has a velvety appearance and a soft feel. Suede can be waxed, but it can also be left untreated.
GORE -TEX®
The Alverstone II Lady GTX contains a GORE-TEX ® membrane. The GORE-TEX ® membrane ensures that these hiking boots are waterproof, but breathable. This keeps your feet dry while walking.
Insole
The Alverstone II Lady GTX has a standard insole from Hanwag. This is a quick-drying, removable insole that contributes to extra comfort while walking. The Hanwag standard insole is also available separately in our store and on our website . We also sell custom insoles that provide extra support.
outsole
Like many other hiking boots, the Alverstone II Lady GTX a VIBRAM ® outsole. Vibram soles are known for their high quality and durability and are therefore often used in hiking boots. The Vibram® Integral Light soles ensure a good transition of the foot. The profile of the sole has been developed in such a way that it provides good grip on different surfaces. In addition, the profile of the sole is self-cleaning. This means that the sole does not retain mud and soil. Because Vibram soles are durable, they last longer than other soles.
If the sole of your hiking boots is worn out, they need to be replaced. Worn soles are a risk when walking. Because the profile of the sole disappears, the grip decreases and you slip faster. It is only difficult to say goodbye to hiking boots that fit perfectly and with which beautiful trips have been made. Especially if you have always maintained your shoes well, the upper material of the shoe will last longer than the sole. The walking shoes can still look fine, but because the sole is worn out, they are no longer used for walks. It is with a heavy heart that walkers say goodbye to their favorite shoes. The big advantage of the Alverstone II Lady GTX is that they can be resoled. Like the soles of the Alverstone II Lady GTX wear out in the future, so you don’t need to throw them away. We are happy to offer the service to have your shoes resoled. Bring your shoes or send them to us. We can then see if we can provide them with a new, original outsole.
